As far back as I can remember, I’ve always been drawn to stories. Words just have a special way of painting a picture in my imagination. Growing up an only child, I would look forward to anyone visiting our home so I can tell them the stories I have created. Telling stories made life less lonely. So, from a young age, I decided that I’m going to be a storyteller. 

My name is Ruth, born and raised in Manila, Philippines. When I moved halfway across the globe to a completely different country and lifestyle at 17, I fell in love with design, photography, calligraphy and illustration. I pursued it on the side while working as a nanny living in NYC in my twenties, and got the incredible honor of learning and working alongside some of the best creatives there are. My decade-long time in the Big Apple inspired me and fueled my creativity. This inspired me to keep going; to keep telling stories in whatever my hands find to do. These experiences sharpened my attentiveness and fueled my dedication to creating a distinctive perspective that harmonizes the intricate dance between form and function. I'm quick, smart, and have a keen eye for the finest details – but most importantly, I have an unwavering passion for bringing people closer, making them feel a part of this sprawling global community we belong to.

Today, my husband, our sweet pup, and I split our time between Washington, DC and Costa Rica and boy, are we living the dream!
